We are pleased to invite you to a prime CBS fall event in Barcelona! It will be an important occasion to welcome our honourable guest from the School,  Prof. Nicole DeHoratius  (Professor of  Manufacturing and Service Operations Management ), a renowned authority in  strategic operations and supply chain management , who will captivate us with an enlightening session on sustainability and AI in operations, particularly on retailing but also on other logistic intensive industries. She will also provide us with an update on the state of our School.

The event will take place in the form of an informal two-course dinner at the oldest and renowned restaurant in Barcelona – 7 Portes - on the evening of Friday, October 3, amid a delicious dinner à la carte, also allowing us mingling with our alumni friends.

We look forward to meeting you at this most exciting occasion.

Price per person:  Advanced non-refundable reservation fee of 10€ to cover the invitation to dinner and a thankful gift for the professor. Dinner price will be according to the menu à la carte.

Capacity: The event is limited to 15 participants.

Guests: Alumni may bring one guest to this event, at the same price per person as the host. The guest's e-mail address and name/last name are also requested during the registration process for attendance control purposes. Guests receive a confirmation e-mail of their signup.

Signup deadline: Tuesday, September 30th, 2025.

Signups to the event and corresponding payment is to be conducted according to your registration status:

- Alumni already registered at the Club's website should firstly log into the website with their Username (or, alternatively, their valid e-mail address) and Password that have been previously provided (please contact us if you need a new registration at the website or require a reminder of the Username or a new Password) and, secondly, click on the "Sign up" button at the top of this page, which lands on the order and payment page with the user data being filled in automatically.

- All other alumni and participants should first enter their e-mail address and then click on the "Sign up" button above, which lands on the order and payment page where the personal details are requested, including the university affiliation.

Payment is processed through a secure platform, and the signup will be confirmed via e-mail once the reservation payment has been successfully completed.

Nicole DeHoratius' bio

Nicole DeHoratius has a demonstrated history of working with industry leaders and brings over twenty years of strategic operations and supply chain expertise to her academic partnerships.

She is the recipient of the Manufacturing and Service Operations Management Society Best Paper Award as well as the Industry Studies Association Ralph Gomory Best Industry Studies Award. For exemplifying the characteristics students most value in their professors, Nicole earned the Rotman School of Management Teaching Award.

She has taught operations management, service operations, and supply chain management to executives in programs and companies around the globe.

Nicole received her DBA from Harvard Business School, her MSc from the University of Sussex as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar, and her AB, magna cum laude, from Harvard College.
