The Columbia Business School Club of Spain is pleased to call to an Executive Search Roundtable followed by a cocktail at CaixaForum-Madrid next Wednesday, October 2nd, 2019.

The panel will be chaired by Luis Truchado '96, partner at EuroGalenus and board member of the CBS Club of Spain, with the participation of highly prominent executive search consultants. Guest speakers will present an overview of the industry and current trends in different sectors and functions, as well as provide insights and advice on how to effectively gain visibility within the Executive Search community.

Special attention will be paid to the rising digital environment and its new positions (CDO, CSO, etc.), as well as to the use of the social and professional media.

cocktail will be served afterwards as attendees engage in networking with alumni fellows and the panel speakers.

The roundtable will take place in Spanish and there will be ample opportunity to ask questions and network also in English.

Details

Language: The roundtable will take place in Spanish and there will be ample opportunity to ask questions and network in English as well.

When: Wednesday, October 2nd, 2019. Reception of attendees will start at 6.30pm, panel commencing sharply at 7pm, and cocktail being served after the debate. Event is expected to finish by 9pm.

Price per person: 15 euros for dues-paying members of the CBS Club of Spain, 25 euros per person for rest of participants, to cover the costs of venue and cocktail.

Signups to the event and corresponding payment is to be conducted according to your registration status at the website:

- Alumni already registered at the Club's website should first log into the website with their Username (or, alternatively, their valid e-mail address) and Password that have been previously provided (please contact us if you need a new registration at the website or require a reminder of the Username or a new Password) and, second, click on the "Sign up" button that appears at the top of this page, which will take to the signup and payment steps to be followed thereafter with the user data being filled in automatically.

- All other alumni and participants should first enter their e-mail adress and then click on the "Sign up" button above which will take to the order page where the personal details are requested.

Payment is processed through a secure platform, and the signup will be confirmed via e-mail once the payment has been successfully completed.

Guests: Alumni may bring up to three guests to this event, at the same price per person as the host. The guests' e-mail address and name/last name are also requested during the registration process for attendance control purposes. Guests receive a confirmation e-mail of their signup.

Speakers' biographies

Placido FajardoPlácido Fajardo – Managing Partner, Leaderland Leadership Advisors.

Plácido held senior roles in the Human Resources function at corporations such as AT&T Network Systems España, Lucent Technologies for Southern Europe, Endesa and Telefónica de España, until he started a successful Consulting career in 2007 as Managing Partner at Leaders Trust / AltoPartners and Managing Partner at Leaderland.
Plácido has executed hundreds of search projects and executive assessments in 12 countries for prestigious corporations and family owned companies in diverse fields, particularly in Technology/Digital, Industrial, Services and Human Resources.
Furthermore, he is trustee of FUNDIPE - National Foundation for People Management and Development - and, in 2004, was awarded for the “Best Human Resources Director”, voted by 100 experts and sponsored by the newspaper Expansión, where he was a columnist for eight years. He is also co-author of 9 books and over 100 articles on Leadership and Management, including the blog “Apuntes de Liderazgo” in the digital newspaper ElConfidencial.com.
Plácido holds a Degree in Law from Granada University, an MDP at IESE Business School, and diplomas in Leadership and Management Seminars from INSEAD and IMD.

Marta GarriguesMarta Garrigues – Partner, Amrop Seeliger y Conde.

Marta Garrigues is Partner with Amrop Seeliger y Conde since July 2014 and specializes in technology, professional services and media sectors.
Marta started her career as project manager at APD, a hardware /software developer as Responsible the management of international R&D projects financed by the European Commission.
She joined Amrop Seeliger y Conde in 1997 as senior consultant until 2000. She has developed her professional career in Executive Search sector as Senior Partner at Korn Ferry International, member of the Global Technology Market team. Marta has also participated in assessment projects within Leadership & Talent Consulting engagements.
Ms. Garrigues holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Schiller University (London), a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management from Cámara de Comercio in Madrid and a Certificate in Special Studies (Business Administration) from Harvard University.

Luis TruchadoLuis Truchado – Partner, EuroGalenus Executive Search.

Luis Truchado started his career in executive search in 1992 when he founded EuroGalenus in Madrid, specialized in the Life Sciences and Healthcare sectors. 
Luis’s activity reflects his deep experience in the fields of Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, Medtech, Hospitals, Digital Health, etc. Many of his assignments have been international, and he works seamlessly in other European markets. In 1994 he joined the AESC and later served on the Global Board and European Council for several years.
Luis has a master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Biochemistry from the Universidad Complutense in Madrid. He also holds an Executive MBA from IE Business School and is also an alumnus of the Columbia Business School. His management career was in marketing positions for Novartis, GSK and CEPSA.

Miguel ZuilMiguel Zuil – Managing Partner, Boyden.

Miguel is Managing Partner of Boyden Spain, and also the Global Leader of the Professional Services Practices in Boyden,
During these 19 years, Miguel executed hundreds of searches for Board and C-Levels in many industries but mainly focused on Professional Services, Consumer and Technology.
He started in Executive Search in 2000 when he joined a local firm and later he moved to Boyden in 2005.
Miguel's business experience prior to joining the search industry was in AUCHAN, Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts and COLT Telecom, as member of the senior management team, where he held senior roles in the Human Resources function.
Miguel has a degree in Law from University Complutense in Madrid and a graduate degree in business administration from Harvard Business School.
